Good afternoon, I’m interested by your METRI IC-LTM Turbine Flowmeter. It will be mounted on helicopter for flight test instrumentation purpose. The maximum operational flow range is 50 l/min. We need the “IC-MV-PO pulse output module” instrument to connect it to our acquisition module. The preselected model order code is : “IC-LTM-016B-S-S-A-B-S-0-P-R-0”. One little concern: the pulse output module operating temperature range is -10°C to 55°C so it will not be possible to install this module inside the sensor area (higher temperatures expected). In this case we foresee to install this module in the helicopter cabin zone. I need to understand if the cable from sensor to pulse output module can be “cut” to go from sensor area to cabin zone. So, is there a connector on sensor part (no integral cable) ? Is it an option ? If no, what is the maximum cable length between sensor and instrument ? 3m as mentioned in the datasheet? Same questions for the pulse output module : Is there a connector for sensor input ? And for the module output, is there a connector (no integral cable) ? If no, what is the maximum cable length between instrument and our acquisition module ? Thank you in advance for your answers. Fawzi, thank you for contacting Visaya. You are right for high temperature application remote version needs to be chosen (the code you selected is correct). The maximal length between sensor with coil output and IC-MV-PO (pulse output module) is 3 meters. The cable will be attached to sensor and it is connected via terminal block, alternatively with PCB plug or 4-pin M12 connector. Regarding the cable between instrument and acquisition module, there is no limitation on the cable length.
