Expert’s answer: How to do a magmeter check for a magnetic flow meter?
Well, yes you can do a more extensive magmeter check. You can check a few other items on your magmeter. It helps to know the model because the values can differ from brand to brand.
You can ask the manufacturer for the values of resistance and coils and each cable combination. Now, these specs cover the sensor conditions. If you want to test the transmitter conditions, then the vendor may have a sensor simulator that can confirm the transmitter’s readings from the sensor.
Regardless of what you find in your verification, you have to agree that after ten years, your flow meter has paid off its investment. So, let’s hope your new model gives you just as much accuracy for just as long.
