Expert’s answer: How to do a VEGACAL 63 basic configuration

The set up of a capacitive level transmitter is not complicated. And fortunately, a VEGACAL 63 basic configuration is just as easy.

Here’s how:

Through the display, you can go to “Basic setup”. Here, you write down your preferred minimum adjust and maximum adjustment.

These minimum and maximum values are the ranges of the level that your level transmitter VEGACAL 63 should consider as 0 percent and 100 percent. Usually, the level adjustment should be done with reference. This means that for the minimum adjustment, the vessel has to be empty. And, the transmitter will show you the capacitance of the level reference.

You need to do the same for the 100 percent of the product. So, fill the vessel and set up the maximum adjustment in the VEGACAL 63. Have the minimum and maximum adjustments done? Great, now you can go through the configuration and decide the damping time, the volume reference of 0 and 100 percent of the range and so forth.

We would like to do a flow measurement of low conductivity product. The product is a liquid around 2.5 to 3 μS/cm. So, can we use a magmeter to the flow measurement?
