Expert’s answer: VEGAPULS 64 GSD file!

For the new kids in the class, this asker wants the General Station Description file, which provides the device specs for setup and stuff. It should come with any unit destined for a PROFIBUS DP/PA or PROFINET system. Here’s what you need to know about finding your VEGAPULS 64 GSD file:

If you can’t find it for whatever reason, then you can download it from the VEGA website. On the site, go to Download, then Radar and then VEGAPULS 64. You’ll get a list of files, so search for Device Driver – PROFIBUS (DP/PA), and that should reduce your list to one. Click on the offering and follow the prompts, and you should be good to go!

If you can’t find the file on the website either, then contact your local VEGA support office and they’ll email you the file. Okay? Okay!
