Pressure transmitter with a capillary or electronic remote sensor?

Level Pressure Q&A

What are the differences between the pressure transmitter with capillary and remote electronic sensors?

Expert’s answer: Pressure transmitter with a capillary or electronic remote sensor?

The transmitter will work with both a capillary or electronic remote sensor, but the installation with capillary has limitations that electronic sensors can solve and vice versa.

For instance, a bad setup, like a loose or bent tube, can reduce capillary accuracy. Wet capillaries can also clog and need cleaning. Remote electronic sensors bring a few advantages to the end user. They have much easier setups, as you have no tubes to kink or clean and no cables to wrap.

However, they have a couple of drawbacks too. They cost more, for one. For another, usually these sensors can’t hold up to high temperatures because of their electronic bits. You’ll have to review your application to decide which would work best for you.

Level calculation for pressure transmitter with capillary
I have a level transmitter with capillary, and I need to do the level calculation. The transmitter is one meter below the takeoff point, and the tank’s takeoff point is five meters. The product’s specific gravity is 0.89, and the capillary is filled with glycol at a specific gravity of 1.02. How can I calculate the level range?

Radar or pressure transmitter?
Nowadays, I see a lot of recommendations to use radar for level measurement. So would it benefit me to switch from a pressure transmitter to a radar level meter?

Pressure transmitter data
I bought a pressure transmitter S/N K219C601052 from Endress+Hauser, but I don’t know if the transmitter is providing the data I requested. Could you check for me?
