Hello. I need a flow meter, but I don't know exactly which type. The product will be process water with a maximum flow range of 100 m³/h and ambient temperature. It won't need much accuracy because it's just a monitoring application. Can you help?
Expert’s answer: Flow meter for process water
Sure we can help you find the best flow meter for process water! You’ve come to the right place. Now, keep in mind that your process water dictates the equipment you use. Some chemicals may attack your flow meter and shorten its lifespan.
With that said, try an electromagnetic device. And if your process water contains chemicals, you’ll need a Teflon liner to prevent corrosion. On the other hand, for water with no chemicals, polyurethane or hard rubber liners work fine. Now, since you don’t need accuracy in your monitoring, you can skip expensive devices like the Coriolis. Yay, money!
