K-factor for Rosemount 8712

Flow Q&A

The measurement of my flow meter is not correct, and we're investigating what's happening here. Can you tell us how to check the K-factor on the transmitter?

Expert’s answer: How to check the K-factor for Rosemount 8712

Yes, of course we can show you how to check the K-factor for Rosemount 8712. This one is very easy. On interface of the transmitter, you should find a button labeled “Tube Cal No.” Press that and, voila! It will show you the K-factor right away.

Now, if you want to access the configuration using a handheld, then use the following steps:

  • Device > Basic Setup > Calibration Number.

That should give you exactly the same figure as the Tube Cal No. button.
