Rosemount 8712 and another flow sensor

Flow Q&A

Can I have a Rosemount 8712 installed with another brand's sensor?

Expert’s answer: Rosemount 8712 and another flow sensor

Yes, you can pair Rosemount 8712 and another flow sensor, even those from different companies.

If you go to page 155 of the 8712’s manual, you’ll find a list of sensors that you can use. Just find your sensor and go to the page indicated for a graphic that will show you how to connect them.

Remember, though, to follow the rules for installation and cable connections. You’ll also need to calibrate the sensor together with the 8712.  This advice applies to any installation of this kind, so make a note of it!
