I can't get communication between my handheld and the Rosemount 8732. Can you tell me why they're not talking to each other?

Whoa, buddy. Just taking a stab in the dark here, but you may have your communicator connected wrong. Did you connect it parallel with the four-wire device? If you don’t connect in parallel, then you won’t get the  connection you need and your Rosemount 8732 communication fails. Remember: Gotta line ’em up to go through.

Okay, so maybe you do have it connected right. If you have a connection but still no full access, you may need to update your library. Your database needs the correct device description (DD) to let you into all the meter’s dark corners. Remember: DD gives you the key.
